Transition

Not the greatest of weeks. And I've got a million great excuses, but I'll spare ya.
This week:
I lost 1/2 lb.
I only ran 3 days this week. 2 mid length runs (3 & 4 miles I believe) and one 8 mile run. The 8 mile run took 82 minutes and felt great with that nice slow pace.
I didn't count calories on several days, but I did pretty good overall in regards to eating.
What will I do for next week? I don't know. I've got a lot going on and this just doesn't seem nearly as important anymore. It's hard to find a good balance and plan. And at this point, I don't have a whole lot of motivation.

Burned Out- Kind of

Like I said last week, I'm sick of dieting. Some days I feel ok with where I'm at because just eating whatever I want seems like a more desirable option. Other days I want to keep going and lose like 5-10 more lbs. But those last pounds always seem so hard to lose!
Currently I still want a break from the worry of counting calories. I did however count calories most days last week. I didn't exercise as much as I had hoped, but did ok. Here's how it all played out. I don't have my cheat sheet with me, so I will just put what I remember.

I lost 1 lb this week. (Weighed in yesterday at 127.6)
I ran 7 miles 3 times this week (each time staying just under a 10 minute pace average total.) And did some walking miles too.
I taught ballet 3 times this week.
I did weight training twice this week.
I counted calories and stayed within limits 5 days this week.

I love Spring!

Spring, thanks for coming back. But if you ever leave me again unexpectedly I may never forgive you.

It's been great running out in gorgeous weather this week! I actually work up a little sweat now that it's mildly warm!

Dieting however, is getting pretty darn old. I'm tired of counting calories. I wanna quit.

Did well on Vacation, even though it didn't show

I started out our vacation at 125 lbs. I weighed in at 133.5 at the end of our vacation!
I don't however feel really bad about it because I didn't let myself pig out or eat really unhealthy, and I did exercise quite a bit! Hopefully that means the weight will just melt off super quick. (Yeah, right. What kind of freak of nature am I?!)

Here's a rundown of my week in diet and exercise: Total miles run this week was 30.2!
Sunday no exercise
Monday ran 5 miles 46:42 didn't track calories but ate healthy. (Walked all over the place site seeing as well.)
Tuesday ran 5 miles 45:58 didn't track calories but ate healthy. (Probably walked a couple of miles in addition with the kids site seeing.)
Wednesday ran 5 miles 47:05, didn't track calories but ate healthy. (Walked around an amusement park all day with kids.)
Thursday ran 5 miles 47:15, didn't track calories, but ate healthy. (Walked around with kids at Great Mall.)
Friday ran 5 miles 48, didn't track calories, but ate healthy.
Saturday ran 6.2 miles 57:13, didn't track calories.

Butt, I mean But

I'm running dry on post titles.
So I weighed in at 125 yesterday!!!
BUT,
We are now on vacation. No scale was packed, but I feel the weight piling on already and we only left yesterday! What is it about vacation that makes my butt expand, my body swell, my digestive system to decide to shut off, and my weight to skyrocket? Regardless of the shortness of the trip, I gain weight. Lots of it. The least weight I've gained on any vacation in recent years is 5 lbs. And that was only because I had food poisoning on that trip. No kidding. Anyhow, here's hoping the damage isn't too bad and that I can shed the weight quickly after I get home!
Here's how my week went:
Sunday1300 calories, no exercise.
Monday 1860 calories, ran 4 miles 42:24, weights 8 minutes, taught ballet.
Tuesday 1770 calories, ran 4 miles 45:12, walked 1 mile 17:30, weights 5 minutes.
Wednesday 910 calories, ran 4 miles 45:05, walked 1 mile 16:57, weights 5 minutes, taught ballet.
Thursday 1340 calories, ran 4 miles 40:06, weights 5 minutes.
Friday 1390 calories, 4 mile walk 60:25, weights 5 minutes.
Saturday left on vacation didn't exercise or track calories.

Another week

Sunday- Didn't track calories eaten. No exercise.
Monday- Ate approx. 1595 Calories. Ran 3.25 miles outside 32:12. 6 minutes upper body weights. Taught ballet.
Tuesday- Ate approx. 1900 Calories. Ran 3 miles outside 30:00. 5 minutes upper body weights.
Wednesday- Ate approx. 1500 Calories. Ran 3.25 miles outside 33:45. 5 minutes of upper body weights. Taught ballet.
Thursday- Ate approx. 1620 Calories. Spent an hour on the treadmill and made it 4 miles. Part running, part walking. Mostly walking. Taught ballet.
Friday- Ate approx. 1540 Calories. Ran 3 miles outside 30:45. Some walking too. Maybe half mile? 5 minutes upper body weights.
Saturday- Ate approx 2230 calories.(Ate out twice this day.) Ran 3 miles outside 30:02. 5 minutes upper body weights.
Starting weight 129.5, Ending Weight 128.4. Looks like I ate too many calories this week!
I can now wear my size 4 clothes, but I still would like to lose maybe 5 lbs. 10 lbs would be awesome, but I'd be ok with 5.

Bad Week

On Monday I started to feel sick! Often I will feel like I'm starting to get sick though and I will just continue on and hope it never really hits me. Which is the case like 99% of the time. So Monday night I still went running (2.5 miles) plus a little walking too. I did weight training as well and taught ballet. The next morning I was way sick! I felt awful. I didn't exercise the rest of the week.
I had this strange bacterial infection (got test results back after the fact,) in my throat. The doc put me on antibiotics on Tuesday. I had these blisters on the back of my tongue and a miserably sore throat and aching body. But Friday I felt much much better but my voice was almost gone. Today I still don't feel 100% but whether I feel all normal again tomorrow or not, I don't care. It's back to the daily grind. I missed almost an entire week of training and I'm pretty bummed about the setback. I didn't really limit my calories much either. I tried to eat plenty of good, healthy calories to get better.
As a result, I've gained almost 2 lbs this week. Bummer! Next week is gonna have to be better.

My baby turns 7 months old on Friday! If I can lose just 1 lb, then I will have lost a total of 40 lbs since I came home from the hospital with her. That's pretty exciting! Took me long enough, but I'd be pretty happy if I could hit that by Friday.
I'm hoping by April 1st I can be at 125.

My week in diet and exercise

Just a side note here, I was looking at those photos of me on the sidebar and I am surprised I put those pictures of myself on here. Gagging in my mouth as we speak.
____________

This week was pretty good. I ate well. I started a pledge to be vegan for 30 days, 7 days ago. It hasn't been too hard at all. I'm still so grossed out by meat and dairy products after getting a hold of anti-meat literature and media. I think most of my protein is coming through nuts and veggies.

Anyhow, on to this past week's report:

Sunday ate approx. 1530 calories. No exercise.
Monday ate approx. 1460 calories. Ran a 9:25 mile w/Steve outside. 6 minutes of free arm weights (bicepts, tricepts, forearms, etc...) Taught 3 hours of ballet.
Tuesday ate approx. 1355 calories. Ran a 8:49 mile w/Steve outside. 7 minutes of free arm weights.
Wednesday ate approx. 1460 calories. Ran a 8:50 mile w/Steve outside. 7 minutes of free arm weights. Taught ballet for an hour and a half.
Thursday ate approx. 1790 calories. Ran an 8:59 mile w/Steve outside. 6 minutes of free arm weights. Taught ballet for one hour.
Friday ate too many calories. I didn't count calories and didn't pig out. Just ate out twice this day and am unsure of how many calories I ate. But I am sure it was beyond my allowance. No exercise either.
Saturday ate approx. 1400 calories. Ran an 8:59 mile outside with Steve. 6 minutes free arm weights.

There you have it. I am ok with how my week went. Friday wasn't great, but I'm gonna let it slide as we had a lot going on that day.
The problem is I started out the week at 129.5 lbs and today I weighed in at 130.1. So I actually gained .6 lbs. I am not sure how that happened. Friday wasn't bad enough to take the blame. I am hoping that I just don't get a repeat this week. I hope I can lose 1.5 lbs this week, or more.

Update

This morning I weighed in at 129.5. It is pretty cool to finally see a 12_ on the scale again finally. We're gonna ignore that the 2 was followed by a 9...for now.
I'm gonna celebrate this because I haven't been trying that hard to lose weight. I think just stress and being pretty busy have done that for me. But I have tried to eat fairly healthy too.
I'm gonna keep my celebrations low key because I'm still really a comfortable size 8 and that's just not gonna work for me long term.
I've weighed this before and been at a comfortable size 4 because I was much more tone. So this means that I either need to 1: Get a lot more tone and not worry so much about the weight. or 2: Lose about another 10 lbs so that I can actually fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes and still be able to breathe in them.
I think I'll try to meet in the middle of the two. Lose a bit more and tone up.
My husband and I have signed up for a half marathon June 19. So that will force me into getting more and better exercise.
If I could fit into my clothes by the end of March, that would be pretty cool!

Remember Me? - Yeah, me neither.

So I just wanted to send this to a place for me to access easily. The forgotten child blog is the place. I need to see this often as I am preparing to teach this dance to my ballerinas. I will need to do some modifying for sure and I still don't think it will look close to this video--but oh well. I still love those girls! Best classes I have ever had!

And as for my "Healthier Mandee" pledge, it was a lost cause there for a while. I found out I was pregnant again at the beginning of the month. (Surprise pregnancy.) So obviously I didn't worry about dieting or exercising much. Then I found out I miscarried. So I have no excuses now I guess. Other than the fact that I am CRAZY busy. I have way too much going on. But I did start to count calories this week. I need those running shoes back on though before I think I'll really lose weight. And I actually want to run. I miss it. I am just wondering when I'm gonna fit it in. We'll see how it goes.
