I have a follower!

I never told anyone about this blog. Not even my hubby. It's not that it's a secret, just, I don't know. So I come here to post today and find I have a follower! WOW. So Adrianna, whoever you are, this is for you. I dedicate this last weeks success and this weeks sweat to you!

My week:
starting weight Monday October 19- 145.6
ending weight Monday October 26- 140.8

Monday- ate 1340 calories and ran 3 miles on treadmill 34:10 time.
Tuesday- ate 1290 calories and ran 3 miles on treadmill uphill 37:54 time.
Wednesday- ate 1325 calories and ran 4 miles on treadmill 48:04 time.
Thursday- ate 1445 calories and painted most of the day.
Friday- ate 1210 calories and ran 3 miles on treadmill 35 time.
Saturday- ate 1185 calories and no exercise.
Sunday- ate 800 calories and no exercise.

So not bad in the weight loss this week. But I coulda done better with the exercising. With family coming to town this week, I hope I can still do alright! Adrianna I'm working to make this worth you while. Tune in next week!

Exercise & Diet Log:


Monday- 2.12 mile outdoor run. 21:40 time. Ate 1030 calories.

Tuesday- 2 mile uphill treadmill run. 26:30 time. Ate 1015 calories.

Wednesday- 3.18 mile outdoor run. 36:06 time. Ate 1190 calories.

Thursday- 30 minutes of weight training. Ate 1260 calories.

Friday- 2 mile treadmill run. 23:30 time. Ate 1510 calories.

Saturday- 3 mile outdoor run with Steve & Charity in tow :) 33:20 time. Ate 1030 calories.

Sunday- Day off of exercise (thank goodness!) Ate 1400 calories.

*Spent many hours painting all week too!



It was a good week overall. My running times are slow and it's hard for me. But I'm hoping that will be overcome in time.

My First Post

If anyone knows anything about me, they know I tend to get obsessed with diet and exercise. I do so for a few reasons in which anybody could guess.
#1- I care about how I look. (Just being honest. Vanity often gets the better of me.)
#2- I care about how I feel. Being healthy is important to me too.
#3- I actually enjoy exercising. Truly do.

One thing I found out this past week is that I have blood pressure that is ranked at stage 2 hypertension. That shocked me considering all my life I believe my blood pressure has been low. What's up with that?! I bet a better diet and a lifestyle filled with good exercise could bring that down. I'm willing to give it a shot before I start a regime of blood pressure medication that often becomes a lifetime necessity.

I'm also really tired much of the time. Considering I have a newborn, there's no surprise there. But even when I do sleep, I'm not sleeping that well. Exercise has been proven to improve sleep and energy levels. Another plus!

I have like 3 boxes of size 4 clothes that I was wearing less than a year ago. Currently I'm like a size 10 or more. Maternity clothes still grace my frumpy bod. That has got to end. And I refuse to go out and buy cute new fat clothes. REFUSE.

Enough bla bla bla. I'm totally ready to get started!
